Narrative of Services:

Currently, I only see a few patients with OCD. I would like to offer more availability to treat OCD utilizing ERP in the future.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I treat co-occurring disorders including Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, Major Depression and people with neurodivergent presentations (e.g. AD/HD, ASD). I utilize evidence based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Social Skills Training, Emotion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Training Description:

I first began treating OCD and other anxiety disorders while a graduate student at the University of Toledo’s Center for the Study of Anxiety Disorders and Depression (study on manualized treatment) from 2003-2006. I was also supervised in treating cases of OCD while an intern at the Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center from 2006-2007 by a CBT supervisor. After graduating, I obtained additional training in Exposure and Response Prevention while supervised toward licensure by a CBT supervisor, from 2010-2012, duing an ERP workshop through the Knowledge Tree in 2021 and most recently the Cleveland 2022 BTTI training.

Diversity Statement:

I am an LGBTQIA affirming psychologist. I practice from a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed perspective. I offer pro-bono services to immigrants and refugees in our community and accept various insurance, including medicaid/medicare.

I was a psychology fellow in Psychiatry at the Boston University School of Medicine/Center for Multicultural Mental Health (CMMH) in Boston. At this APA approved internship, I received didactic training in multicultural psychology and provided intensive inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy to adults with diverse biopsychosocial needs. My dissertation was on the topic of cultural discrimination stress. I continue to seek learning in the multicultural space. I strive to provide competent care to LGBTQIA+ folks and pursue continuous education in this area. I am a member of Equitas Health Institute and NMTP (Network for Multicultural training in Psychology, associated with CMMH).
