Laura Yocum MFT
I have been a staff therapist at the OCD Center of Los Angeles since 2011. I work exclusively with clients with all forms of OCD and related OC spectrum disorders including Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Phobias, Trichotillomania and Dermatillomania. Our program focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with an emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). We treat adults, adolescents, and children, and offer individual therapy, group therapy, online therapy, and an intensive outpatient program. We have ten therapists on staff, and offer services six days a week. We have offices at four locations in Southern California.
I received my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as a School Counseling / Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential at California State University at Northridge (CSUN). Prior to joining the OCD Center of Los Angeles in 2011, I spent three years working as a therapist for students at the middle school and high school levels, and have served as an advocate for students seeking to receive 504 plan and IEP accommodations. I have given presentations at conferences held by the International OCD Foundation, and train new therapists who join the OCD Center of Los Angeles staff.
