Based on the audio /book *Buried in Treasures: Help for Compulsive Acquiring, Saving, and Hoarding* by Frost, Steketee & Tolin.

Aim: to grow a peer support community that is ..

> LGA rules, regulations & polices (Local Government Agencies);
> support agencies and services;
. guided by leading-edge scientific research & data (as per Frost, Steketee & Tolin and other sector leaders)

. readily accessible, and – above all –
. trauma-informed &
. empathically understanding!

Note: we do *not* endorse the ‘scoop & dump’ / ‘muscle & some trucks’ approach of managing hoarding; but rather an approach based on managing underpinning psychological drivers for hoarding. We take a person-centric approach versus a ‘house-centric’ one.

The long-term vision and hope for this group is that – as community and formal Government supports grow – that the group will be able to facilitate in person connections to LOCAL, IN-HOME-, de-CLUTTER-BUDDIES (aka: peers with whom do time / skill / energy swaps.
