OCD/BDD Program, Nightingale Hospital, London UK

The OCD/ BDD program at the Nightingale London has been running for over 10 years. The medical director is Professor David Veale, Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in CBT. He has co-authored self-help books (for example Overcoming OCD and Overcoming Body Image problems) and a professional treatment manual for BDD. He has published scientific and teaching articles in OCD, BDD and emetophobia. The team includes Clinical Psychologists and an assistant therapist to assist in exposure tasks. This is a national specialist service in the UK on a general psychiatric ward but at any one time there are usually 4-5 adults with OCD or BDD under the team.
