Narrative of Services:
Approximatel 25-30% of my practice includes patients with OCD-related disorders and anxiety disorders. I have treated hundreds of patients with such conditions over the course of my practice.
After a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, I offer treatment with both medications and CBT approaches (ERP) for OCD.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
Major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder.
After a comprehensive assessment for OCD and other associated disorders, I work with patients to formulate an individualized treatment plan, incorporating biological, psychological and behavioral interventions. Treatment usually include medications and psychotherapy interventions, but the specifics will depend on the particular diagnoses and severity.
Training Description:
I was trained in evaluation and treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.My teachers included Sanjaya Saxena, M.D., Alexander Bystritsky, M.D., PhD., Emanuel Maidenberg, PhD. After completing training, I returned as Assistant Clinical Professor on the voluntary faculty in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic before I moved to Irvine, California.
