Constance Abruzzese PhD
About 50% of my caseload at CEA Psychology PLLC presents with OCD and/or OC Related disorders.
CBT, DBT, ACT and mindfulness based therapies are utilized for the treatment of PTSD, trauma, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, and life-transitions (in addition to OCD).
I have been treating patients with OCD and related disorders since 2014. From 2016-2017, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Reeds Center. From 2017-2019, I served as a Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of OCD and Related Disorders Programs at Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants. I co-developed and ran Intensive OCD programming and supervised graduate/postdoctoral fellows in OCD treatment.
From 2019-2025, I was a Staff Psychologist and the Co-Director of Training at the Columbia Day Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. I created and led OCD and Anxiety group programming, supervised graduate students, and provided individual therapy.
Cultural humility is infused into all of the work that I do and especially important to me as the child of a Greek immigrant. I stay up to date through reading, research, and professional conferences. I have participated in peer-led anti-racism groups. I also more recently completed the Crawford Bias Reduction Theory and Training with Dr. Dana Crawford over several weeks at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
