Leslie Alton LCPC, MHC, LPC
I have over 3,330 supervised hours working at a higher level of care, PHP & IOP, in addition I have worked in the outpatient setting since beginning of 2021. To best meet the needs of each individual, I use evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Prolonged Exposure for PTSD, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
I support emerging adults & adults of diverse populations that live with varying levels of depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, & struggle with life transitions & challenges.
I provide outpatient therapy to those struggling with OCD subtypes of scrupulosity, perfectionism, health, contamination, pedophilia, sexual, harm, relationship, just right, and others.
My goal is to provide a non-judgmental environment for individuals to safely explore behaviors, thoughts, and emotions and the impacts they have on daily life. I strive to continuously education myself on my clients’ race, ethnicity, religious or non-religious affiliations, gender, sexual orientation and expression, social economic status, physical capabilities, and political viewpoints.
I am continuously learning best practices in therapy via trainings/continuing education in order to respect and meet the needs of diverse populations of patients. I attend IOCDF annual conferences.
