Jody Begley LMSW
I maintain a caseload of approximately 70 clients, with around 90% presenting with OCD or OCD-related disorders. My practice focuses on evidence-based treatment approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), to support individuals across a range of symptom presentations and severity levels.
Over the past year, I have completed 25.5 continuing education units in OCD-specific training through programs accredited by ACE and approved for CEUs by the state of Michigan. These trainings focused on evidence-based approaches to treating OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders and are directly applicable to clinical practice.
My practice serves a diverse client base, including individuals from various racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, as well as people living in rural areas of my state without access to OCD specialists, whom I serve via telehealth. I incorporate culturally responsive CBT approaches and prioritize affirming, inclusive care that respects each client’s unique identity, values, and lived experiences.
In addition to completing all mandatory cultural competency training required for licensure, I have pursued advanced education focused on anti-oppressive practice, racial identity development, and culturally responsive CBT. I regularly attend continuing education courses that address intersectionality, systemic inequities, and mental health disparities. This ongoing training supports my commitment to providing inclusive, affirming care to individuals from diverse racial, cultural, religious, and geographic backgrounds.
