Narrative of Services:

My practice is 90 % OCD (10 % non-ocd anxiety disorders). I have treated over 1000 individuals with OCD over my professional career. These individuals had symptoms that ranged from mild to very severe with those who had very severe symptoms being treated with multiple sessions per week.

Training Description:

I received my Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and my doctorate in psychology from UCLA. I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of OCD for over 20 years while on the faculty of the psychiatry department at UCLA where I was Associate Director of the Child and Adolescent OCD and Anxiety Program. I taught and mentored dozens of graduate students and psychiatry Fellows and successfully treated over 1000 children and adolescents with OCD. In addition, at UCLA I was co-Investigator on seminal research projects related to OCD treatment and have over 100 published papers and chapters.

Diversity Statement:

Over the course of my career I have worked with a diverse array of individuals that include all race/ethnic groups, genders, ages, etc.

I sought training and education around cultural competence on a regular basis while employed at UCLA for many years. I believe this is a lifelong process and will continue to do so with respect to all the many ways that diversity presents itself (race, gender, etc).
