My practice focuses on treating families who have a loved one diagnosed with OCD and/or Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I specialize in education, improving communication, fostering independence, and strategies for supporting the family member without enabling problematic behaviors. I also work with families who have a loved one diagnosed with OCD/Generalized Anxiety Disorder who is resistant to engaging in treatment.
For the past seventeen years I worked as a family therapist at the McLean Hospital, OCD Institute in Belmont, Massachusetts, a residential treatment program for adults with refractory OCD. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, l led psychotherapy groups with a focus on the impact of OCD on the family system and relapse prevention strategies.
