Susanna M. Doss LCSW
Owner of Susanna Doss Counseling Services
As a sole practitioner with a speciality in OCD, approximately 75% of my practice involves individuals with a diagnosis of an OCD-spectrum disorder. I have treated over 200 individuals with an OCD/OC-related disorder.
I treat co-occuring disorders including but not limited to PTSD, Relationship issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Eating Disorders, Depression, and Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors. I use many interventions including ACT, somatic and mindfulness work, ComB model, ERP, behavioral work, IFS, EMDR, and Prolonged Exposure (PE).
I have worked with OCD spectrum disorders for over seven years. I have attended the BTTI and have done numerous online and in-person trainings, facilitated by (among others) The Peace of Mind Foundation and taught by OCD experts. My professional presentation on ROCD was accepted and offered at the 2017 MSW Colloquium at Baylor University. I was previously supervised by a BTTI-trained OCD expert & member of the ICODF with 15 years of training. I am formally trained in the ComB model for BFRBs through the TLC Foundation.
Diversity awareness is important to me, and I strive to use continuing education and self-awareness in my work with multicultural populations. I am comfortable and experienced with offering services to racially/ethnically, socioeconomically, religiously, and gendered/sexually diverse populations. I have no speciality demographic.
I practice ongoing attendance at social justice conferences through the NASW and other organizations to increase awareness and competence. I use regular mindful engagement in peer-to-peer education and discussion to enhance my awareness of my own privilege, bias, and ultimately to inform my clinical work with diverse populations.
