Tanner Edwards LCSW
I specialize in disorders of over-control, and roughly half my clients have OCD. I’ve been working exclusively with disorders of overcontrol for over 5 years of my 12 year career.
In addition to ERP, I provide a specialty therapy called RO-DBT for people with a high degree of self-control (perfectionists, introverts, worriers, and the notably stubborn). It turns out possessing too much self-control impairs our ability to relax, adapt to change, and connect to others. You can think of RO-DBT like openness training. With work, my clients learn how to let their guard down and spontaneously enjoy the moment when the situation calls for it.
I’ve received training from Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard’s Sabine Wilhelm, PhD.
I have a good deal of experience working with clients in the queer community, and I used to work with veterans at the VA.
