Samantha N. Fields MSW, LCSW, CCATP
I have been specifically treating people with OCD more so since I started my private practice in July of 2021. I personally have OCD myself so I find it gives me a better perspective. I offer in person sessions as well as virtual sessions.
I treat OCD and Anxiety Disorders primarily, however I also work with Clients who have OCD and Anxiety Disorders co-occurring with Depression, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, and Adjustment Disorder, to name a few.
I received my Bachelor of Social Work Degree at Monmouth University in 2009 and I received my Master of Social Work Degree at Fordham University in 2011. I am credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey as well as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and have completed the Pediatric Behavioral Therapy Training Institute course with the International OCD Foundation. I also regularly attend the Annual IOCDF Conferences.
Since becoming a Social Worker in 2009, I have worked with a multitude of populations. These populations include people of different religions, cultures, sexual orientation, sexual identities, races, etc.
In terms of cultural competence, I strive to provide my Clients with the respect and integrity they deserve. I am always trying to learn more about my Clients’ cultures, religions, communities, etc. in order to gain as much perspective and competence as I can. I feel very strongly about this which is why I was a founding member of the Manalapan Township Diversity Committee in the summer of 2022.
