Leslie Fischer M.S., LPC
I practice ERP, mindfulness skills, DBT skills, and ACT for a comprehensive approach to addressing OCD. I also work collaboratively with psychiatrists in the clinic (or community) if people choose medication as an adjunct to therapy.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I work with many who not only struggle with OCD, but also other anxiety disorders as well as depression and mood disorders. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, mindfulness skills, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Each person’s journey is their own and I work collaboratively with each person to find what works best for them. I believe in offering a compassionate space and approach for others to share their story as they learn to manage their concerns.
I have been working with those struggling with OCD since 2012 and have completed the BTTI training through the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation. I remain active in my learning opportunities for OCD as well as my professional membership through the IODCF. I participated in the Annual OCD Conference as well as OCD Consultation Groups.
I work out of two locations through Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department of Psychiatry – North Hills Health Center in Menomone Falls as well as Moorland Reserve Health Center in New Berlin.
