Sarah Gaumer PsyD
Dr. Gaumer specializes in evidence-based treatment for adolescents, teens, and adults suffering from anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. She provides Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Habit Reversal Training (HRT). Dr. Gaumer works in a private practice in east Fort Lauderdale where she offers individual in-person and telehealth services on a weekly basis. Dr. Gaumer has treated many individuals with OCD and is familiar with a wide range of OCD symptoms, themes, and presentations.
Dr. Gaumer earned a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from the APA accredited program at Nova Southeastern University. She completed a 2000-hour APPIC-accredited postdoctoral residency at the Neurobehavioral Institute (NBI) specializing in treating severe OCD and related conditions. She trained with experts at NBI that are executive members of the IOCDF and the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). Additionally, she has received group supervision and training from the Clinical Director of the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at The Institute of Living and an adjunct professor at Yale University School of Medicine.
