It was crucial to me to be well trained in treating OCD before providing any services with people diagnosed with OCD. As of October 2022, I am starting to accept clients for ERP therapy.

PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, issues related to the minority experience.

Training Description:

Completed Behavior Therapy Training Institute 20 hours training to trat OCD in adults in Costa Mesa California in October 2022.

Diversity Statement:

I identify as a cisgender, heterosexual, Latinx, bi-cultural, immigrant, non-native English speaker, and a first-generation U.S.-born female.

I think you should know something about me because we will work together. Here are some of my beliefs.

Black Lives Matter. Abortion is okay. Same-sex marriage is normal. Consensual polygamy and consensual monogamy are great.

Believing in a spiritual world and its healing power is okay. Believing in God is okay. Not being Christian is okay.

Immigrants are not illegal. Fat is beautiful. Having a degree does not make you educated. Degree or not, you are deserving.

I live in the US as a woman of color. 3/4 of my counseling experience has come from people of diverse backgrounds including ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, gender, etc.

I have cherished diversity at Proyecto Cuidate in Little Village, Chicago, Family Bridges, in Oakbrook, and CAPS at the University of California Berkeley. In the latter, as part of my clinical fellowship, clinical supervisors, trainers, students taught me to competently work with diverse students.

I constantly work to unlearn my biases through workshops, reading, podcasts. I speak up in my circle of influence so we can all unlearn biases and racism.
