Narrative of Services:

My practice is focused almost entirely on OCD and related conditions, which comprise approximately 95% of my clinical work. I primarily use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), delivered in a structured, active format that includes assessment, hierarchy development, and targeted exposures both in and outside of sessions. I have worked with individuals across a wide range of OCD presentations and severity levels. This focused scope allows me to apply ERP with a high level of precision, consistency, and nuance.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

Anxiety disorders often follow similar patterns of avoidance and safety behaviors, which makes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) a highly effective approach. I use ERP to help clients gradually face feared situations while reducing avoidance and reassurance-seeking. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which pairs well with ERP by helping clients relate differently to anxious thoughts and stay aligned with their values. Together, these approaches provide a structured, practical framework for reducing anxiety and building long-term resilience.

Training Description:

My practice is dedicated primarily to OCD, and I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) in the vast majority of my clinical work. Over time, I have developed depth through sustained experience treating OCD and closely following the research literature on effective treatment. I have also consulted with experienced clinicians in the field, including a recognized expert in OCD treatment. This combination of focused practice, ongoing study, and consultation informs a structured, precise, and evidence-based approach to ERP.

Diversity Statement:

I work with clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and provide culturally responsive, individualized care. This includes attention to how cultural beliefs, values, and context shape the experience of OCD, as well as how clients approach treatment and define meaningful progress. I incorporate these factors into assessment and treatment planning, adapting ERP to align with each client’s cultural framework. My goal is to ensure that treatment is both effective and relevant to each client’s lived experience.

Cultural humility and responsiveness were core components of my graduate training. I have worked with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and routinely incorporate cultural factors into clinical decision-making. In addition, I lived and worked abroad for years, which deepened my awareness of cultural influences and the importance of adapting communication and expectations across contexts. These experiences inform my approach to providing thoughtful, respectful, and individualized care.
