Kathryn Hecht PhD, LP
Dr. Hecht is a licensed child and adolescent clinical psychologist and partner at Anxiety Treatment Resources, an OCD/Anxiety specialty clinic in the Twin Cities. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with OCD and OC spectrum disorders (50-75% of caseload) as well as other anxiety disorders. Dr. Hecht also supervises advanced PhD student clinicians in effective delivery of exposure-based CBT for anxiety and Exposure with Response Prevention (ExRP) for youth with OCD. She provides workshops/guest lectures for professionals and the public locally and nationally on pediatric OCD/anxiety and it’s treatment.
Dr. Hecht is a graduate of the joint PhD program in developmental/clinical psychology at the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development. Her experience spans several settings, including training in pediatric OCD/anxiety treatment at the Anxiety Behaviors Clinic of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), with Penn’s Child & Adolescent OCD, Tic, Trich & Anxiety Group (COTTAGe), the former pediatric sister clinic of the Center for Treatment and Study of Anxiety, as well as training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). Dr. Hecht currently serves as a member of IOCDF’s BTTI training faculty.
