Narrative of Services:
My practice is exclusively CBT, ERP, and ACT-based practices with 60-70% of my work related to OCD and co-occurring conditions.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
Depressive and bipolar spectrum disorders, health-related issues, panic, generalized anxiety, and coping and adjustment issues.
Training Description:
I have more than 25 years of licensed clinical work experience. In my doctoral program, there was a CBT emphasis. My predoctoral internship (Washington DC VA) and post doctoral fellowship (Johns Hopkins) was in behavioral medicine. In 2009, I completed a BTTI in Chicago. I was active on the OCD Mid-Atlantic board for many years. In addition, I regularly attend OCD conferences and maintain an active practice with OCD based work. I also kept my clinical skills up-to-date through teaching at Georgetown and GWU.
Diversity Statement:
My practice is multicultural in nature.
I have training through graduate school, internships, and ongoing continuing education in working with diverse populations. A multicultural practice is an important component of my clinical experience and also comes from having worked in metropolitan areas.
