Amy Huberman MD
I offer individualized OCD treatment, including an option of intensive treatment (2 to four hours of treatment daily 1-5 times weekly for one or more weeks) for individuals looking to overcome struggles with OCD sooner rather than later. About 50% of my practice involves working with individuals with OCD. I use an individually tailored blend of I-CBT, ERP, Rich Gallagher’s Mastery Approach, rumination-focused ERP, IFS, and TEAM-CBT (developed by Dr. David Burns) in my work with patients.
I treat co-occurring depression, trauma, and relationship issues, starting with whichever problem we identify together as most urgent and using a combination of CBT, IFS, ACT, and written exposure therapy, among other approaches.
I’ve been treating OCD patients for 15 years. From 2011-2012, I participated in a consultation group led by Dr. Sally Winston of the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland. I have been a member of the IOCDF since 2012 and have attended four of its conferences I completed a BTTI training in ERP in 2017, and in 2021 and 2022 I took trainings with Dr. Michael Greenberg in Rumination-Focused ERP. In 2022, I completed several trainings in I-CBT with the OCD Training School, as well a small-group practice group in I-CBT with Bronwyn Shroyer.
I offer a sliding scale for members of traditionally minoritized communities, including the BIPOC community and the LGBTQ+ community.
I have completed a 6-hour Anti-Racism training at the Diversity and Resiliency Institute of El Paso and a workshop in Making TEAM-CBT More Effective Through Social Justice-Informed Therapy by Dr. Meag-gan O’Reilly, PhD at the Feeling Good Institute. I am also registered to complete an 8-hour course in Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in TEAM-CBT starting 3/17/22 at the Feeling Good Institute.
