Narrative of Services:
Dr. Kleiman specializes in anxiety disorders (panic, phobias, etc.), OCD, and OCPD / maladaptive perfectionism. She also treats clients with co-occurring difficulties, especially chronic shame and self-criticism and depression. Dr. Kleiman is able to provide traditional outpatient services (1-2 sessions per week) through telehealth in NY, with the ability to provide occasional home-based sessions in the NY metro area to enhance the delivery of ERP.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
In addition to OCD, I treat anxiety disorders (panic disorder, phobias, health anxiety, generalized anxiety), maladaptive perfectionism / OCPD, and depression. I also have experience treating chronic pain and bipolar disorder.
Training Description:
Dr. Kleiman received specialized training in the treatment of OCD, OCPD, and anxiety disorders at Northwell OCD Center, the Anxiety Disorders Center at the Institute of Living, and the Center for Anxiety in NYC. She utilizes ERP/exposure as the primary treatment modality, combined heavily with acceptance and commitment therapy. She also has specialized training in DBT and in compassion-focused therapy (CFT), to address chronic shame and self-criticism.
