Lou Lasprugato MFT
Psychotherapist, ACT Trainer
Up to half of my clinical practice at any given time is comprised of individuals with anxiety disorders, with approximately half of them suffering with OCD. Between my private practice and former experience working within, developing, and managing an intensive outpatient program (IOP), I’ve treated dozens, if not hundreds, of individuals with OCD.
I also treat the following issues that commonly co-occur with OCD: Trauma/PTSD, Depression, ADHD, Substance Use, relational problems, and other anxiety disorders
I’ve been providing psychotherapy since 2002, working more directly with OCD and Related Disorders since 2012 utilizing exposure and response prevention (ERP) within a context of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), of which I’m also a Peer-Reviewed Trainer with the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. I received training in ERP through workshops attended in 2010 and 2012.
I’ve worked with individuals of various sociocultural backgrounds and identities, and continue to welcome and affirm diversity in my private practice.
I’ve attended several trainings on clinical cultural competency and have participated in diversity and inclusion efforts within ACBS.
