25+ years treating OCD. Predoctoral internship at CWRU/UHC and in postdoctoral fellowship (University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Cognitive Therapy), I was training extensively in the treatment of OCD. I assisted in an intensive 2-day treatment program for people with severe OCD led by a national OCD expert (Reid Wilson, PhD). In my highly acclaimed book, “Cognitive Case Conceptualization,” OCD was a major focus. In addition, I was the former Director of CBT Training in Dept of Psychiatry at OSU, where I trained advanced students in OCD treatment. I also have extensive training in treating PTSD/trauma.
I have worked extensively with diverse patients (African American, Appalachian, senior citizens, LGBTQ & range of socio-economic contexts) My mission is to empower individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds to achieve their goals of reduced suffering from OCD and anxiety disorders. I am dedicated to creating an environment where multicultural clients feel respected, cared for, and understood, enabling all people to maximize their responses to evidence-based treatment.
