About 85% of my practice focuses on OCD and anxiety-related concerns. I specialize in CBT including EX/RP and ACT for teens and adults. Therapy with me will be: Collaborative: We set goals together and regularly check in on your progress.
Active: You’ll learn and practice skills both in and outside of sessions.
Practical: The focus is on tools and strategies you can use in your everyday life.
Goal-focused: We work step-by-step toward addressing current challenges and creating meaningful change.
Individualized: Treatment is tailored to your needs, strengths, and goals. I consult with organizations and provide supervision for mental health professionals
In addition to OCD, I work with people experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, and depression. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. I also draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), using the approaches and skills that best fit each person’s needs and goals.
I began my career at Columbia University, where I worked with an OCD specialist and conducted research on OCD. During graduate school, I received specialized training working with severe OCD and other anxiety disorders, and I’ve continued to specialize in treating OCD and anxiety throughout my career.
I stay current with the latest research and evidence-based treatments by regularly attending professional conferences and continuing education trainings focused on OCD, anxiety disorders, and effective approaches to treatment.
For more than 15 years, I worked in New York City hospitals providing treatment and training to a diverse range of patients from many different backgrounds and life circumstances. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with people facing a wide range of challenges, including those navigating medical, financial, housing, and other social stressors.
Prior to working in the New York City hospital system, I workd for two years providing care to monolingual hispanics at Columbia Unversity.
