Training Description:

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in practice since 2017. The bulk of my work has focused on workin with folks with anxiety, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ related concerns, as well as supporting folks with cognitive and developmental disabilities. I have lived experience with OCD recovery and have focused on primarily treating folks with OCD since 2023. I completed intensive ERP training in January 2024 with Center for Anxiety and Behavior Therapy.

Diversity Statement:

I’m Chelsea and my pronouns are she/her. I am a queer and trans competent therapist, having focused my entire counseling career on providing specialized care for the LGBTQIA+ community. As a member of the queer community myself, this is something I’m very proud of. Since 2015, I’ve worked in various roles supporting adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities within residential, community, and clinical-based settings.

My career started in Colorado where I worked primarily serving adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities and folks in the queer community.

This commitment led me to Grand Rapids, where I had the honor of joining a local group practice providing specialized queer and trans competent care for our city. In this space, helping and empowering queer and trans folks grew beyond a strength and into passion.

In 2021, I completed a certification course refining my skills in writing clinical letters for gender-affirming medical care. Since then, I’ve provided this essential service for a number of active clients.
