Narrative of Services:

The Healing Playroom provides developmentally appropriate mental health services for children in the Jacksonville community. While adults communicate verbally, children most naturally process and share emotionally significant experiences through play. Play is their language. At The Healing Playroom, trained play therapists provide therapeutic services for children experiencing anxiety related disorders, adjustment concerns, behavioral difficulties, grief and loss, ADHD, and divorce or changes in family structure.

Tayler has experience working with children with adjustment issues, behavioral concerns, grief and loss, anger management, trauma, anxiety disorders including OCD, and attention difficulties.

Tayler is a trained play therapist that provides therapeutic services for children experiencing anxiety related disorders, adjustment concerns, behavioral difficulties, grief and loss, ADHD, and divorce or changes in family structure.

Training Description:

Tayler is a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. She has two years of experience treating anxiety disorders, including OCD. Tayler has completed training through the AT Parenting Survival workshop. She is currently a licensed therapist in the state of Florida, and has many years of experience working under the clinical supervision under other experienced and licensed play therapists.

Diversity Statement:

Tayler attended an Accredited Social Work Masters program that included training and education in cultural competency. In addition, Tayler obtains ongoing continuing education in treating children and families through a lens of cultural humility.
