Adir Pinchot PhD
My practice provides intensive and standard courses of exposure and response prevention (ERP) treatment to individuals with OCD and/or OC related disorders. The majority of my patients are diagnosed with OCD and/or OC related disorders.
I specialize in the treatment of OCD, OCPD, and OCD spectrum disorders, with a subspecialty in relationship OCD (ROCD). I completed my Ph.D. at St. John’s University where I received training in CBT and DBT, which inform my approach. During my internship, I was trained and supervised in ERP by Dr. Anthony Pinto, a member of the IOCDF scientific advisory board, at the Northwell Health OCD Center. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at My OCD Care where I learned to incorporate elements from ACT and ICBT in my approach to OCD treatment.
I completed my graduate training in Queens, NY – one of the most diverse counties in the United States. I have worked with individuals and families from a wide range of socio-economic, ethnic, and racial backgrounds. I am particularly qualified to treat Orthodox/Ultra-Orthodox Jewish individuals with religious scrupulosity given my extensive knowledge of Jewish law and culture.
