Carl Robbins LCPC
Director of Training
I’m the Director of Training and Senior Clinician at the Anxiety and Stress Disorders Institute of Maryland. I have treated over 100 people with OCD in both inpatient and outpatient settings. While I offer Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), I also provide other evidence-based practices for treating OCD, including Inference-based Therapy, Meta-cognitive Therapy, ACT, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders
anxiety and mood disorders
I have been treating OCD and related disorders for over 35 years. I am a mentee of Dr. Sally Winston and have attended multiple trainings through the IOCDF, ADAA, and ABCT over my long career. More recently, I have done individual training with Fred Aardema, PhD, co-developer of Inference-based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD. I’ve presented at the IOCDF to both consumers and professionals. I have conducted trainings and consultations for clinicians, including in my position as Clinical Instructor at the UMD Medical School, Dept. of Psychiatry.
