Ryan Silverman Psy.D

I am in private practice currently offering outpatient individual and family therapy to those suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive and Anxiety based disorders. I specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). At this time, I am scheduling patients virtually and in person.

I completed my Pre/Post-Doctoral Residency at Wellspan Philhaven in York, PA. The training was solely based on CBT principles. Following my residency, I worked at Renewed Freedom Center in Los Angeles for 2 years. My training consisted of learning to assess, diagnose, and treat OCD using ERP, CBT, and ACT. I have worked with patients and families at all levels of care, including IOP, PHP, and outpatient. Since the science and research in our field are constantly being updated, I attend several OCD-based seminars per year and keep up to date on new research pertaining to the field.

I have been in practice for over 5 years. With time comes exposure, experience, and training to attend effectively to the diverse backgrounds and needs of my patients. I have worked with not only patients and families from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds but also international families and those in the LGBTQ community. In addition to the ongoing effort I make to maintain my competency in treating OCD, I also make it a priority to attend seminars and lectures on diversity issues in therapy.
