Since 2005, I have treated hundreds of individuals with OCD spectrum disorders. 90% of my practice is focused on the treatment of BDD, OCD, and body focused repetitive behaviors. I employ ERP, CBT, habit reversal, compassion focused therapy, and inference based CBT. While most people see me to overcome their OCD or body image concerns, I provide a supportive space for people to discuss any issue impacting wellbeing. This includes life stressors and co-occurring mood, anxiety, and eating disorders. I provide outpatient evaluations and treatment to adults and older adolescents.
At the University of Pennsylvania, I completed specialized training in CBT and exposure and response prevention (ERP) and obtained my Ph.D. I had predoctoral and post-licensure supervision from members of the IOCDF Scientific Advisory Board. I served as a CBT study therapist at the Body Dysmorphic Disorder Program at Rhode Island Hospital. Currently I provide trainings on CBT for BDD and supervise residents and fellows at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University where I am on the faculty.
As a clinician, I am committed to cultural humility and affirming my clients’ identities. In particular, I have a lot of experience working with individuals from the LGBTQIA community.
To support my work diverse populations, I obtain at least biannual training on topics related to neurodivergence, disability, aging, gender diversity, and multicultural competence.
