Susan Swedo MD
4350 East West Hwy
The Heartwood Program for PANS PANDAS, Suite 200
Bethesda, Maryland 20814
Narrative of Services:
Dr. Swedo and her colleagues, Dr. Shari Thomas, Dr. David Driver (child psychiatrists), and Ms. Krystyn Akers (behavior therapist), offer consultation services that provide clarity and direction on the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of PANDAS/PANS and related conditions. Following an in-depth review of the child’s history and records, the multi-disciplinary team meets (virtually) with the family to perform a comprehensive assessment, determine the correct diagnoses, and establish a treatment plan. These are discussed with the family and written recommendations are provided to them and child’s healthcare professionals. Following the appointment, the PANS/PANDAS Team remains available for ongoing consultation and guidance.
Our multi-disiplinary team is diverse and multicultural. We welcome clients of every race, ethnicity and culture, and treat each and every individual with respect, dignity and compassion.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels (ADA accessible): Yes
