Jenifer Viscusi PsyD
I have been treating OCD using Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) since 2013. Throughout my clinical practice, the majority of my caseload has been dedicated to treating OCD and related disorders. I have had experience treating all sub-types of OCD and have a particular clinical interest in the treatment of sexually intrusive thoughts (e.g. worries about being a pedophile, worries about sexual orientation) and harm obsessions (e.g. worries about harming self or others, intrusive violent thoughts/images).
I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, KY, where I began my specialization in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder under the direct training and supervision of a member of the IOCDF Advisory Board. I completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at The Reeds Center in Manhattan, where I delivered weekly and intensive evidence-based treatment for OCD, anxiety, and anxiety related disorders. In addition to clinical work, I have presented and published about topics related to OCD and sexual health, OCD and relationships, and the treatment of sexual obsessions.
I received training and supervision in cultural and ethnic considerations for general clinical care and specifically for OCD treatment. I have contributed to research for cultural considerations in OCD assessment and have been a member of a panel discussion for minority considerations in the treatment of OCD.
