Narrative of Services:

Focusing on a strengths-based approach, I am experienced with utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention interventions, . My goals are to help clients learn how to ease anxiety symptoms in an atmosphere of trust and hope.

Training Description:

I understand living with OCD and anxiety symptoms can be difficult and scary, but with the right treatment, there can be relief I enjoy incorporating a hands-on, creative element to therapy through activities and grounding exercises and want to ensure clients feel connected and understood. My personal experience and passion for the OCD/anxiety population led me to this work, and I hope to continue to advocate and educate others about its importance. I currently am working toward independent licensure status and I am under the direct supervision of Dr. Anastasia Shewell.

Diversity Statement:

Upon completion of my undergraduate work, I began working as an advocate for diverse multicultural survivors of Domestic Violence at Project Safe, Inc. in Athens. I spent four years at Project Safe working with survivors and those struggling with substance abuse. During that time, I gained skills and experience in crisis intervention, trauma, relationship dynamics, communication, and emotional regulation. I continued to facilitate diverse socioeconomic support groups centered around trauma recovery
