Melissa Yanovitch PsyD
I recently transitioned to full time private practice and am currently in the process of building my caseload. I hope to reserve approximately 40% of my practice for patients with OCD.
I received training and supervision in the treatment of OCD during fellowship at VA Boston in 2018. Additionally, I completed a 3-day training at the Center for Anxiety Behavioral Therapy (CABT) in January 2021, which included post-training supervision of cases with the instructors. Since then, I have worked with OCD patients at the Manhattan VA, as well as in private practice.
I offer culturally-responsive individual therapy, taking into account the unique cultural contexts that have shaped my patients’ lives.
I am honored to offer a safe and non-judgmental environment for people of all gender identities, sexual orientations and family structures. As the LGBTQ+ Veteran Care Coordinator at the Manhattan VA, I served LGBTQIA+ Veterans directly, as well as provided staff trainings and advocacy in the hospital and the wider community.
